On April 14, 1912, the culinary staff of the R.M.S. Titanic set a wonderful feast. Ten courses of sumptuous fare. Nothing but the best for her guests. As we know from our history classes, sadly, the next day, an unimaginable tragedy occurred.
On Thursday, April 14, 2016, in downtown McKinney in honor of those who perished, and in memory of a time gone by, Eclair Bistro will recreate the entire menu which was served to the first class passengers exactly 104 years ago to the date.
Eclair Bistro’s guests will be treated to a champagne reception followed by the ten course dinner. Live music from the early 1900’s will entertain guests, who are encouraged to where Black Tie and Period Attire. The cost of this exquisite dinner will be $100 per person.
“It should be an extremely elegant evening,” says Eclair Bistro’s Marie Briton, “We will send ‘Boarding Passes’ to our guests upon making reservations.”
Located at 216 E. Virginia St., in Historic Downtown McKinney, Eclair Bistro is one of the city’s newest fine dining establishments, having relocated here after more than five years in Cedar Hill.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef, Aaron Thomas, Eclair Bistro combines traditional French cuisine with the more contemporary influences of New Orleans.
Eclair Bistro is opens at 5 p.m. for dinner Wednesday through Saturday, and offers free parking for her guests directly across the street.
